3,500 people came together to show their support and love for the sixth edition of Santa Run for Wishes, organised by Make-A-Wish Singapore.
Held at the Singapore Sports Hub on 7 December, Santa Run for Wishes 2019 saw participants decked in various costumes – from dinosaurs and claw machine to Christmas Tree and Santa Claus.
The energy at the starting lines were roaring with excitement as participants taking part in 10km competitive run were flagged off by national basketballer and Santa Run for Wishes Ambassador, Ng Hanbin while the 2.5km and 5km run were flagged off by Guest-of-Honour, Ms Sim Ann, Senior Minister of State for Communications and Information and Culture, Community and Youth.
“Santa Run for Wishes brings together the community to support families of children with critical illnesses. This season of giving is an opportunity and reminder to care for those around us. Let us continue to grow the SG Cares spirit to make Singapore a more caring home for all,” says Ms Sim Ann.
All proceeds go towards fulfilling more wishes for children with critical illnesses.
