Aisha’s Wish

I wish to fly a small plane!

11-year-old Aisha has to undergo multiple medical procedures from time to time, but this lively girl stayed positive and endures her treatment with no fuss and much grace. Aisha loves new experiences and trying new things. So what’s more exciting than wishing to fly a small plane with her family on board!

Her wish journey started with her designing her own pilot uniform. A month before her actual flying experience, Aisha and her family spent a day at the Singapore Airlines’ Training Centre (STC) as part of her wish anticipation. They enjoyed a rare behind-the-scenes tour of STC, where they learned about its history, saw how cabin crew and pilot trainings were conducted and enjoyed a peek in SIA’s latest cabin products and flight stimulator. The highlight of the day was definitely the interactive session in a cockpit where she got to experience taking off and landing the plane at various airports – all guided by a real-life pilot. She ended the day with her favourite food, customised cake and personalised airplane necklace!

Five days prior to her wish day, she received a countdown package that includes a pilot suitcase, pilot log- book, personalised shoes, a customised pilot teddy bear and her tailor-made pilot uniform! All ready for her wish day where she soar into the skies with her family.
