THE WISH EFFECT
More than a one-off experience, a wish has a proven, lasting and life-changing impact on a child with a critical illness and everyone around them.
WHAT IS
THE WISH EFFECT
The story of Make-A-Wish began in 1980 after a team of people who came together to help grant the wish of a little boy whose dream was to be a policeman. Inspired and moved by the power of a wish to transform lives, the people involved in his wish pledged to continue to “share the power of a wish”.
This is the multiplier effect of wishes to uplift and transform the lives of every eligible child, their families and the wider community.
A wish granted is a gift of hope and strength for children with critical illnesses. At the same time, its positive impact can radiate and uplift their families and the community around them, creating treasured memories that will last a lifetime. Watch our video, One Tiny Wish, and experience for yourself what ‘The Wish Effect’ is all about.
HOW WISHES
WORK
More than a one-off experience, a wish has a proven, lasting and life-changing impact on a child with a critical illness and everyone around him/her.
Help us grant wishes to every eligible child in Singapore. If you know a child with a critical illness, help make their wishes come true by referring them to us. We welcome applications from their family members, medical teams and the children themselves.
Making even a small donation can go a long way to inspire hope and deliver strength to these children. Your gift brings wishes to life and a regular monthly donation will ensure that your contributions will help deliver more impactful wishes, in a timely manner throughout the year.
